When you log onto the website of the Blue Dolphin Café, the first thing you see are the Today’s Specials at their St. Armand’s location. Peach-Pecan Cheese blintzes, Blue Dolphin Seafood Omelet, Bluefin Crab Benedict, Slirced Sirloin Hoagie, Blackened Sea Scallop Salad, and Soup and Sandwich Combo. My mouth is watering and I know a particular IBE Barter member who is a regular there and it’s his home away from home.
The Blue Dolphin Cafe is located on historic St. Armand’s Circle in Sarasota, Florida and the tropical reaches of Longboat Key. The atmosphere is intimate and there is an atmosphere of fun and the happy love of the special fare the Blue Dolphin serves. During the winter season, December through April, they are open for Friday evening dinners. Their menu consists of freshly prepared breakfast and lunch fare with daily specials prepared by Culinary Institute graduates. With a schedule that spans from 7 am to 2 pm daily at their St. Armand’s location, you can also find the same cuisine and friendly atmosphere at Longboat Key from 8 am to 2 pm. Prices range from $3 to
$9 at both locations. A lot of food and personality for those prices!
Everyone who is concerned about providing a green environment, the Blue Dolphin locations are ECO friendly using earth friendly food disposables. The importance and advantage of doing this is that these products take less energy to make, and are responsible for less CO2 in the atmosphere. They are created from recycled and renewable matter, and help divert waste from landfills while creating a demand for recycled products. Much fewer petroleum based products are used.
